Vogue Paris, often known as French Vogue, is published in France by Conde Nast Publications Ltd. ten times a year. The Editor in Chief, Carine Roitfeld is assisted by Mathilde Bulteau. Paper and print quality is high with a high-gloss cover. In the past, the French Vogue eye was very architectural and avant garde. Since Carine Roitfeld officially joined ship in early 2002, it has become a little more pedestrian with an emphasis on grit and street style. Graphically, it's a little sloppy, yet somehow retains it's structure by keeping everything organized and square. French Vogue intermixes the type of photographers they hire, from the grand to the simple. All of the inside photo editorials are original, using such photographers as Ines van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Mario Testino, Richard Burbridge, and Sokolosky. Vogue Paris has been around since at least 1924. |
