American Harper's Bazaar is published monthly by The Hearst Corporation. Glenda Bailey is the current editor. Two of the world's most famous editors, Diana Vreeland (1939-1962, as fashion editor), and Liz Tilberez (90's) were also a part of Bazaar's history along with Art directors Alexei Brodovitch and Fabien Baron. Kate Betts, previously of American Vogue, changed Bazaar's long-standing typeface in 2000; Glenda Bailey changed it back in 2001. Generally, Bazaar has stood out as the graphic leader in fashion magazines in the US since the 50's. Although Bazaar is one of the oldest American fashion magazine, it has also been the one with the most turmoil, often changing editors several times in a decade. With each new editor came new changes.Harper's Bazaar began publishing in 1876.
