Elle Spain, also known as Spanish Elle, is published twelve times a year. Susana Martinez Vidal is the Chief Director (Masthead). In the past, Spanish Elle has used mostly models for covers, sneaking in celebrities from time to time. Unlike most other versions of Elle, Spanish is quite fond of multiple model covers and often does special features based on certain models such as Ines Sastre, Laura Ponte, Eugenia Silva, and other well-known Spanish models. Inside, a heavy dose of Spanish and South American models can be expected with an emphasis on natural outdoor photography and an occasional reprint of American and French Elle. Watch for the May issues, they have their own sense of humour. It often includes giant supplements that, as far as I'm concerned, make no sense-they are nearly impossible to read on a train, or anywhere else for that matter (They are also frequently ruined in shipment). In contrast, the cover is high gloss and strong. Starting out as a monthly, the first issue was published in October 1986.
