Cleo is published in Australia twelve times a year. They have a habit of using reprints from American magazines for their covers. Cleo has been published since November 1972. Based on the timing, I think it can be assumed Cleo was inspired by American Cosmo's upsurge of popularity during the late 60's and early 70's and created to fill the gap in Australia. According to Cleo's website, today it is the number one women's lifestyle magazine in Australia with a readership of 700,000. AS of 2007.11.11, there will be no more updates on (this) section.
