     Allure is currently published in the USA by Conde Nast twelve times a year. Linda Wells is and has been the Editor-in-Chief since it's inception. Their niche is beauty rather than fashion. Allure uses well-known photographers regularly in their visual editorial work. After Conde Nast bought Allure around 2000, Allure became an extension of American Vogue. Advertising is at this point average as they get many of the big cosmetic and fashion advertisers including Lancome, Guess, Bebe and Emporio Armani. The magazine focuses mostly on makeup tips, hair styling, healthy living, working with beauty practitioners, and new cosmetics. They often have articles on cosmetic surgery as well. Allure began publishing with the much anticipated and advertised March 1991 issue.
